YATES CITY - Delores J. Himegarner, 83, of Yates City passed away at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at the Farmington Country Manor.

She was born on Dec. 5, 1929, in Rushville to William and Caroline Chipman Murphy. Delores married John Himegarner on Dec. 4, 1949, in Yates City. He preceded her in death on June 10, 2008.

Surviving are two children, Jack (Karrie) Himegarner of Yates City and Jay (Sherrie) Himegarner of Yates City; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Debie Himegarner; and son-in-law, Dave Langley.

Preceding her in death were her parents and two children, Bonnie Langley and Randy Himegarner.

She worked as a clerk at the Fair Store, Metz Ford and later at L.R. Nelson.

She volunteered for the BYE ambulance, was a member of the Elmwood United Methodist Church and Farmington Women of the Moose and was an avid camper and enjoyed fishing.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Elmwood, with a visitation one hour prior at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.
