PEKIN - Eva E. Davis, 95, of Pekin passed away at 11:55 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at Pekin Manor.
Born April 1, 1917, to Henry E. and Francis M. (Glombitza) Rippel in Wymore, Neb., she married Samuel Wilcox in September 1935 in Newcastle, Ind. She later married James Jason on Feb. 14, 1952, in Aurora. He preceded her in death on July 1, 1976. She then married Harold Davis on Oct. 25, 1978, in Lacon. He preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 1992.
Also preceding her in death were one son, Cliff Wilcox; one brother; and three sisters.
Surviving are one son, Dave (Kathy) Wilcox of Pekin; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Loretta Baldwin of Galesburg.
Eva had worked at RLI as a collator, retiring in 2002. Previously, she had worked at I.T.I., Caterpillar Inc. and seven years for Dr. Benito Comacho.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Lacon.
A die-hard Chicago Cubs fan, Eva also enjoyed reading, traveling and visiting her relatives in her second home in Nebraska.
She had been a member of the Pekin Women of the Moose Chapter No. 673.
Her visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Following visitation, cremation will be accorded and a graveside service will be held at a later date.
