PEORIA - Justin D'Wayne Williams, 32, passed away Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013.
He was born August 10, 1981, in Kansas City, Mo., to Clifford Williams and Lafelda Jones.
Justin was a class of 1999 graduate from Richwoods High School in Peoria, Ill.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, joining immediately after graduation and was stationed at Camp Pendleton and Camp LeJune in San Diego, Calif.
Justin accepted Christ at an early age as his personal Savior, being confirmed and baptized under the leadership of the Rev. Cleveland Thomas of New Morning Star Baptist Church in Peoria, Ill.
In 2007, Justin married Gretchen Widger and from that union had one daughter, Andrea. Together with daughters Jazmyne and Andrea, the Williams family relocated to Kansas City in 2008.
Justin soon gained employment as a commercial salesman for Batteries Plus in Kansas City, Kan., until his untimely death.
An avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, he watched and cheered with them in victory and like a true fan, always believed they would come back after defeat.
Justin was preceded in death by his daughter, Jazmyne Harris, and grandfather, Jerry Williams of Kansas City.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife, Gretchen Williams of the home; son, Justin Jr. of Peoria, Ill., and daughter, Andrea of the home; mother, Lafelda Jones, and father, Clifford Williams of Peoria, Ill.; grandmother, Pearl Ross of Kansas City; in-laws, Rick and Emma Descamps; lifelong childhood friend, Joshua Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services and visitation for Justin will be Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013. The service will be at 12 noon, and visitation will be two hours prior to service at New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Peoria, Ill. Burial will follow in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria, Ill.
