TREMONT - Lawrence A. "Larry" Woerly, 65, of Tremont, formerly of Macomb, passed away at 3:59 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2013, at Pekin Hospital.
He was born Oct. 1, 1947, in Macomb to George and Verta Lee Zimmerman Woerly. He first married Claudia Walker on May 13, 1966. He later married Dixie Schaiper, and she preceded him in death. He then married Rita Johnson on July 7, 2012, in Tremont.
Surviving are his wife, Rita Johnson-Woerly of Tremont; one son, Alan Woerly of Macomb; one daughter, Monica (Christopher) Murphy of Frankfort; one grandson, CJ Murphy of Frankfort; one granddaughter, Sydney Woerly of Chicago; one brother, Mark (Cathy) Woerly of Canton; two sisters, Vicki (Harry) Wingfield and Linda Paul, both of Pryor, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Kenneth.
Larry worked for several office supply and product companies for 25 years. He then worked for Securitas at Caterpillar Inc. in Morton.
He was a past member of Elks Lodge 1009 and Eagles Lodge, both in Macomb.
He was an avid bowler, loved to fish and enjoyed repairing things around the house.
He attended Northfield Christian Fellowship in Tremont, where his funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013. Thurston Hundt will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9:15 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday, both at the church. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Tremont. Davis Mortuary in Tremont is handling the arrangements.
