HAVANA - Linda Marie Curless, 46, of Havana passed away at 6:55 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at her home.
She was born Nov. 12, 1966, in Havana to William and Eleanor (Yetter) Wendt. She married Jack Curless on Nov. 7, 1992, in Havana.
Linda is survived by her husband, Jack, and daughter, Morgan Curless, both of Havana; as well as one brother, David Wendt of Keokuk, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Linda was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Havana.
She graduated from Havana High School in 1984 and also graduated from Illinois State University, where she was a recipient of a full ride Division I scholarship for softball. Linda completed her bachelor's degree at ISU and pursued a career as a Registered Dietitian.
She worked at Graham Hospital in Canton as Food Service Director, Dietitian and Nutritionist.
She enjoyed playing and coaching softball for many years.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. A memorial luncheon will be held at Havana VFW Post 6408 following the burial.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Morgan Curless Scholarship Fund through Havana National Bank.
