PEORIA - Ronald L. Bryant, age 67, of Cadiz, Ky., formerly of Peoria, Ill., died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at his home following a long illness.

He was born May 30, 1945, in Peoria, Ill.

He was a retired machinist from Caterpillar Tractor Co. after 30 years of service. He had worked at Knight Construction.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Vietnam Era.

Ronald attended East Cadiz Baptist Church and was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Bonnie Bryant of Cadiz, Ky.; three sons, Ronnie Joe Bryant of Peoria, Ill., Rich (Kathy) Bryant of Peoria, Ill., and Anthony Joseph "Tony" Bryant of Cadiz, Ky.; daughter, Amy Bryant (Shawn) Poston of Peoria, Ill.; three sisters, Dorothy J. Carroll and Shirley Stanberry, both from Alabama, and Carol L. Bryant of Peoria, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Phyllis Roby Bryant; one sister; a twin brother; and three other brothers.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at 11 a.m. at King's Funeral Home in Cadiz, Ky., with the Rev. Nickey Knight and the Rev. Lester Watson officiating. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Hopkinsville, with military honors. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Tuesday at King's Funeral Home.
