PEORIA - Stanley L. "Stan" Kerker, 77, of Peoria passed away at 10:09 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.

Stan was born Aug. 3, 1936, in Pioneer, Iowa, to William and Louise (Waechter) Kerker.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Frasco, who he married on Nov. 17, 1956, in Peoria. He is also survived by two daughters, Stacy (Harold) Keysor of Maryland and Susan (Dale) Burleson of Missouri; one granddaughter, Nikol Ayers of Colorado; two stepgranddaughters, Leigh Burleson and Courtney Pilat, both of Peoria; and two sisters, Betty Powers of Peoria and Shirley Roach of Martinton, Ill.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Stephanie Kerker; and one brother, William.

Stan graduated from Bradley University with a degree in engineering. He was an U.S. Air Force veteran, and later worked as an engineer for Caterpillar for 35 years.

He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Cat Retirees Golf League.

He loved Bradley basketball, fishing, and skiing and he was a devoted Cardinals fan.

The family would like to thank the medical ICU nurses and staff at OSF for their exceptional care.

A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Resurrection Mausoleum Chapel. Father John Cyr will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the Chapel. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum.

Wright & Salmon Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
