BARTONVILLE - William H. "Bill" Brase, 77, of Bartonville passed away at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at his home with his family by his side.
He was born April 18, 1935, in Anna, Ill., to Emil and Naomi (Hill) Brase. He married JoAnn Nelsen in Escanaba, Mich., in 1959. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Jeffrey Brase (girlfriend, Junelle Tice) and Steven Brase; one granddaughter; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Stanley; and brother, Lawrence.
Bill was a United States Air Force veteran. He worked at Keystone Steel & Wire Co. in Bartonville before retiring. He was a very skilled craftsman and made beautiful furniture that will be enjoyed for many years.
Bill volunteered at PAWS and enjoyed walking the dogs. He was a member of Bartonville United Methodist Church.
Cremation has been accorded. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel in Bartonville, with the Rev. Linda A. Richard officiating.
