87, of Palm City, FL passed away on April 4, 2013. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Betty was born in Providence, RI to William Gudgeon Baldwin and Estelle L. Baldwin. She volunteered at the U.S. Navy shipyard in Providence during WWII and graduated from Central High School in 1943. After the war, Betty worked in the IBM keypunch department in the Rhode Island state house. She moved to Miami, FL in 1952 where she met and married the love of her life, Bobby Lee Maynard. Together they ran Maynard Bonding Agency in Miami where she served as Vice-President. Upon their retirement Bobby and Betty moved to Micco, FL. They now rest in peace together. Betty is survived by her sister, Janet D. Page, Narragansett, RI; son Mark Maynard (Barbara), Miami; daughter Kimberly Maynard Roden, Palm City; grandchildren, Michelle, Melissa, Brie, Michael, and new born great-granddaughter, Ava; in addition, her loving niece, Jill Gunning and nephew, Gregory Page, Narragansett, RI. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and the Women of the Moose Club. At her request there will not be a funeral or memorial service. A mass in her honor will be announced at a future date. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Martin Memorial Hospital and Treasure Coast Hospice for their support in her final days.
