C. David PEELING Obituary

Clarence David "Dave" Peeling, 92, of Lantana, FL, died Friday, Aug. 8, 2014. Born in Williamsport, Pa., on Feb. 20, 1922 to Walter E. and Margaret B. Peeling, he was a 1942 graduate of Penn State University and lifelong fan. He married Beryl (Brink) Peeling in 1946. They owned a vegetable farm in Pennsylvania, moving to Lake Worth, FL, in 1956 to work for Boynton Landscape Co. of Palm Beach. He later joined brother Alan and his wife Mary Peeling in business, co-owning Peeling's Nursery in Lantana. He was a charter member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Lantana, a true follower of Jesus. He was predeceased by two brothers, Alan and Richard. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Beryl Peeling of Lantana, daughter Linda Pereira (Jose) of Largo, son David L. Peeling of Lake Worth, nephew Tom Peeling (Becky) of Lantana, niece Cheryl A. Hatcher of Greenacres and niece Cindie Williams of Williamsport, Pa., and a close family who loved him and will miss him. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, at First Baptist Church of Lantana, 1126 W. Lantana Road, Lantana, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at the church.
