Possessing a great desire to own his own business, in 1959 Chris started Triple A Tube which he managed and grew very successfully for the next 35 years. Chris flew his own twin engine airplane, fished the world in his sportsfisherman's, hunted big game in exotic places, and greatly enjoyed both tennis and golf. Chris was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army, and was a member of the Elks Lodge, the Masonic Lodge, and a former member of the Palm Beach Yacht Club, in West Palm Beach. Survivors include three sons, John P. Benzing, and his wife, Lisa, of Tucson, Arizona, Bruce C. Benzing, of Aspen, Colorado, and Charles O.
