Obituary Condolences

KHOSHNOOD, M.D., Fereydoon

Dr. Fereydoon Khoshnood, age 75, passed away Tuesday May 27, 2014 at West Palm Hospital under the care of Hospice. He was born in Tehran, Iran where he lived until he graduated from Tehran Medical School. He then moved to the U.S. where he completed his internship at Yonkers General Hospital in New York, three years residency at St. Peters Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ, Englewood Hospital in Englewood, NJ, and a two year fellowship at Yale University in New Haven. He then moved himself and his family to Cocoa Beach, FL where he practiced as a Gastroenterologist for 28 years. He was an avid gardener and tennis player. He received a Masters Gardener Degree from Mounts Botanical Garden seven years ago. Up until his illness prevented him from doing so, he volunteered his medical services to The Community Health Center of West Palm Beach. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rita, of 43 years, his son, Bijan, daughter-in-law, Robyn Kerr, and daughter, Natasha, all of West Palm Beach. Greatly missing him as well are relatives, Ben, Margy, Eva, Jim, Camren, Kayleigh, Calin, Cara, George, Kaveh, Babak, Behrang, Hooshang, Bahram, Debbie, Melissa, John as well as anyone who has ever met him. Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 1:00PM to 3:00PM on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at QUATTLEBAUM FUNERAL, CREMATION & EVENT CENTER, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL, 33405, with interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park at 3:00PM. In keeping with the Moslem tradition there will be a memorial for Dr. Khoshnood 40 days following his death. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that donations be made to The Community Health Center of West Palm Beach where Dr. Khoshnood gave many hours of his time to the care of patients who otherwise would have no medical care. This kind, gentle, humble, yet proud man will be greatly missed by all.
