Obituary Condolences

a longtime resident of Riverbend Country Club in Tequesta, died on October 28, 2013 at the age of 80. Frank moved to South Florida to enjoy retirement after a long and successful career in the aerospace industry, having lived, worked and raised his family in the village of Northport on Long Island, New York. Frank was born and raised in Brooklyn Heights, and was one of a select few to attend Brooklyn Technical High School. Upon graduating from New York University as a mechanical engineer, he began his career at Republic Aviation, where he proudly worked on the storied F-105 Thunderchief jet and was part of a small team that took on the challenge of safely training crews for the country's growing fleet of nuclear submarines. In 1965, Frank and four business partners started their own company-Hydrosystems, Inc.-where he served as Vice President of Marketing. Pioneers in their field, they built Hydrosystems into a global leader in simulation and training equipment, creating hundreds of jobs, launching many careers and leaving a lasting legacy of skilled submariners, pilots and air traffic controllers. Throughout his life, Frank contributed his time and talents by serving in leadership positions at his church and tennis club in Northport and at Riverbend, the home he loved. He was always ready to lend a hand and took great pleasure in helping others. He was an outgoing man who loved tennis, cooking, sharing good food and wine with his friends and family, and traveling the world with his wife, Lynne. Frank loved and took great pride in his family. He will be deeply missed by Lynne, his beloved wife and devoted life partner of 59 years. His children Lauren (Art), Frank Jr., Joseph Christopher (Florisa) and Kenneth (Jennifer) and his grandchildren Arrien, Daniel, Evan, Isabelle and Gavin will always miss him and cherish his memory, as will his extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Sarah Zinghini, and his sisters Theresa and Mimi. The family would like to express its gratitude to the D-north nursing staff at Chatsworth Rehabilitation for their compassionate care, and to the staff of Hospice of Palm Beach County for their invaluable assistance and support. We especially extend our profound thanks to Roseline Foreste, who provided Frank with kind and attentive care and was a steady, constant support throughout the weeks of his illness. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Aycock Funeral Home, 1112 Military Trail Jupiter, FL 33458 (561) 746-5124. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Frank's memory to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL. 33458 or hpbc.com.
