99, of Lake Worth, FL, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013. He is survived by one son, Lawrence (Maureen) Dana, of Saratoga Springs, NY; four grandchildren, Robin O'Donoghue (Joseph) of Acton, MA; Matthew Dana (Stephanie) of Penfield, N.Y.; and Sean Dana (Angela) and Katie Dana of Rochester, N.Y; and four great-grandchildren- Maggie, Jordan, Ryan and Andrew. His wife of 73 years, Frieda (Kelley), predeceased him in 2011. He was also predeceased by a son, Richard Dana, and grandson, Lincoln Dana. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he lived there, in Queens and on Long Island for many years. In 1971, he and Kelley became seasonal residents of Lake Worth, and in 1993, they moved there full-time. A decorated combat veteran of World War II, he proudly served in North Africa and Italy as a sergeant in the U.S. Army. After the war, he returned to New York City where he worked as a manager for several department stores before founding a successful business called Combined Credit Affiliates, which he led for more than 30 years. In later years he was an avid and accomplished golfer, and also enjoyed exercising at his fitness center. His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren enjoyed many wonderful times over the years visiting him and Kelley in Florida. He was very devoted to his family and many friends, and his loving presence and wonderful sense of humor will be missed by all whose lives he touched. The family extends a heartfelt thanks to Henry's loving caregivers, Yvonne Wilkins and Ernestine Holliday. A memorial service with military honors will be held at Saratoga National Cemetery later in the spring. Those who wish may make a donation to the veterans organization of their choice. Arrangements are by Levitt-Weinstein Memorial Chapels.
