Christopher Michael Long Sr., 55, of La Porte Texas, passed away on November 15, 2013.
The Memorial service was held at 1:00 PM on November 23, 2013 at Lighthouse Fellowship of Friends. John Peirce of Lighthouse Fellowship of Friends will be officiating the Memorial Service. The Lighthouse Fellowship of Friends is located at 925 Third Street, League City, Texas 77573. The cremation was on November 22, 2013 at Houston Cremation. There will not be a viewing but his cremated remains will be at the memorial service.
Chris was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on June 24, 1958. He received his High School Equivalency on May 1, 1986 and continued on to receive an Associate of Applied Science Degree & Certificate of Technology in Engineering Design Graphics from San Jacinto College.
Chris was married to Robbin on October 22, 1976; they were married 37 years.
Chris worked as a Millwright for nearly 30 years until obtaining a degree and a job working for Jacobs Engineering at NASA for 3 years. He enjoyed rebuilding & racing cars, working on computers and spending time with family & friends. He was also actively involved in the Masons since becoming a Master Mason on September 18, 2000.
Chris is survived by; his spouse Robbin, grandchildren Kelsea, Gage, Michael & Kyler, children Chris Jr., Jonathan & Whittney, and other family and friends.
Chris is preceded in death by; his mother Jean Smith, father Clifton Long, & brothers Clifton III, Lee, Terri Long.
In lieu of memorial donations may be given to Robbin Long. The family of Christopher Michael Long Sr. wishes to thank the Lighthouse Fellowship of Friends, Deer Park ISD and family and friends for the support at this difficult time.
