Our Dad, Glenn Dee Bessent went home to be with his Lord Monday, December 16, 2013 at the age of 87. He was born in Depew, Oklahoma on June 12, 1926.

Glenn served his country from 1943-1946 as a Seaman First Class in the Navy. He married Merle in 1945. They subsequently had four children together. After his discharge he continued his service to his country as a civil service employee as a Structural and Crash Firefighter ending his career as an Asst Chief in 1981. After retirement he was able to achieve another love of his life being a truck driver. He was an active member of New Life Christian Fellowship.

Glenn was preceded in death by his wife Merle, son Bobby Lynn; brother Frank and sisters Rena, Arva and Edith. Left to cherish his memory are daughter Lynette, granddaughter Lori and husband Steve, great grandsons Steven and Evan; grandson William, great grandsons Alex and Liam; daughter-in-law Sandra, grandson Michael, great granddaughter Ashley; granddaughter Tobie and husband Warren, great grandsons Alex, Mark and Hans; granddaughter Tabitha and husband Steve, great grandson Reagan; daughter Glenda, grandson Jim, great grandson Aaron, granddaughter Christi, great granddaughter Brianna; son Gary Don, granddaughter Shea Lynn and husband Joe, grandson Gary Dee, great grandson Roy, grandson Jason great granddaughter Ember and Glenn's nieces Peggy and Wanda.

The funeral service celebrating Glenn's life was held Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Niday-Fairmont Funeral Home in Pasadena. Entombment followed at Grand View Memorial Park.
