Martin Leonard Miller, 87, of Pasadena passed away Monday, July 2, 2012. Martin was born in Houston and raised in San Antonio. He graduated from the school of Aeronautical Engineering of the University of Texas at Austin, and was a Registered Professional Engineer. Mr. Miller served as a military pilot during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was awarded the Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service as a civilian employee of the Air Force prior to joining NASA in 1963, retiring in 1980. Martin was a member of St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church. He is survived by his loving wife of eight years Dale Baugh Miller. He was preceded in death in 2002 by his first wife of 51 years Joyce Jecker Miller. He is survived by his twin brother Bernard W. and wife Jean Miller of San Antonio, Texas; sons Martin Lance, Michael Gary, and his wife Margaret Ludl, Robert Blair, Brett Jecker, and Jeffrey Huston, and his wife Stephanie Kay; grandsons, Michael Innis, Bradley Allen and wife Kathleen Foster, Taylor Colby, Camron Dalton, and Colten Wyatt Miller; and great grandson Gavin Miller. Martin loved his family and enjoyed hunting, fishing, building a beach home in Galveston and cheering for his UT alma mater. Thanks to his special Hospice care givers Bob, Tina and Gladys. A special thanks to Pine Tree Cottage for the special care and love provided to Martin. Dad....we all love you and will miss you. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday July 5th, 2012 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Visitors are also welcome on Friday July 6th, 2012 at 9 a.m. for the funeral service.
