Theresa Margaret Cashin Durrenberger, 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 17, 2013 in Bryan, TX after a decade battle with Alzheimer's. Theresa was born in Grand Falls, New Foundland, Canada. She attended St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Houston, TX, and received her Registered Nurse credential in 1953. In 1955, she married Edwin S. Durrenberger, Jr. and settled in Pasadena, TX to raise her 5 children. She later returned to school, and in 1984, received her Pediatric Nurse Practitioner credential from University of Texas Medical School. For over 35 years, Theresa worked for Harris County Health Department. She dedicated her life to the health care of children.

Theresa is survived by her brother, John Cashin and wife Patricia; children, Charles E. Durrenberger; Dennis W. Durrenberger; Cindy M. (Durrenberger) Stoughton and husband Brian; Nancy J. (Durrenberger) Schicker and husband James; and Sandra K. (Durrenberger) Renken and husband Christian; grandchildren Alicia (Durrenberger) Gandara and husband Jacobo; Kendall-Kay Durrenberger; Chloe and Riley Schicker; and Kaspar and Thomas Renken; and great-grandchildren, Jacob and Sophie Gandara. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Edwin S. Durrenberger Jr.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 21st from 5 - 8 pm, with rosary service at 7 pm, at Grandview Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 22nd at 12:30 pm in the Chapel of Grandview Funeral Home.

Theresa loved to sing silly songs, to dance, and make jokes. She was a caring wife, and a master at the "honey do" list; supportive mother; devout Catholic and dedicated nurse. Online memorial tributes may be placed at www.grandviewfunerals.com
