Born on June 8, 1937, Dr. Malcolm Kurman Apt passed away peacefully, April 22, 2013, in his home in San Marino after six years with Alzheimer's. Graduating from UCLA
Medical School's class of 1962, he was an accomplished surgeon for 43 years, an Associate Professor for the USC Medical School, in addition to serving in the U.S. Army. His 75-years of life were full of joy, laughter, adventure, and most of all love. Whether he was refereeing a soccer game, cycling with his friends, cheering on his children in their athletic endeavors, or soaring through the skies in his plane, Malcolm embraced life with true passion. Beloved son, brother, husband, father and grandfather, Malcolm is survived by his wife, Edith, brother, Richard, sister, Gloria, children; Jonathan (wife - Julie), Michael (wife - Theresa), Daniel (wife - Claudia), Edward (wife - Stacey), and Rebecca (husband - Travis), as well as his grandchildren; Joshua, Justyn, Jordan, Mia, and Peyton. Services to be held at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Sky Rose Chapel, on Friday, April 26, 2013 at 1:00 pm.
