BOWDISH, Patricia Anne

Patricia Anne Bowdish, passed away April 29, 2014 in Altadena, CA. Born in Peoria, Illinois in 1921, Pat came with her father Donald Hops, step mother Grace Hops and
brother Frank to the Pasadena area in the 1930s. She attended Pasadena Jr College where she was selected as a Rose Parade princess. After college, Pat was a fashion merchandiser for Nash's family department store before starting a family with her husband Gordon Bowdish in Altadena. Pat and Gordon raised two children, Annie Bowdish Menzies and John Bowdish. Together they enjoyed being active in their community, especially in sports activities. She and Gordon were avid fans and supporters of the UCLA basketball and football teams and played golf with friends into their 80s. Pat served as president of the Associated Women Golfers of Annandale and the Women's Senior Golf Association of Southern California. She was Women's Club Champion at Annandale and active in the Huntington Hospital Women's Auxiliary. In her later years, Pat enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends. Her grandchildren, Lauren and Eric Menzies, and Nathaniel and Karl Bowdish as well as her children and husband were graced by her loving attention. Private family services have been arranged.
