Ruth Evelyn Fox was born in Los Angeles on January 27, 1925. She was the daughter of Pete and Tillie Sattler. She had two brothers, Mel and Lee. She went to Los Angeles high school and then graduated UCLA with a bachelor's degree. She made lasting friends during her college years in Phi Sigma Sigma Sorority and after college. She married Bill Fox who became a pilot in the Air Force. They were happily married for 65 years and had 2 children, Michael and Judy and daughter-in-law Linda, and 4 grandchildren (Nick, Lauren, Caitlin and Hillary).
She had a wide circle of friends through the Pasadena Jewish Temple and Center, and was well-known for her commitment and organizational abilities. She loved playing mah-jongg and bridge and, along with Bill, was an avid bowler. Always active and athletic, she was a life-long swimmer right up through last year. Family was always a priority. She was always thinking of her family and others. She is terribly missed by us all.
