CASSIDY, Thomas F. III
T. Frank Cassidy was born September 24, 1928 in Hartford CT & raised in Wethersfield CT. passed away December 21, 2013 in Pasadena, Ca.
Frank was stationed at Port Hueneme, then Great Lakes IL, was a Lt. Cmdr & served his country very proudly.
Frank attended college at RPI MBE, and Cornell & graduated from Stanford, MBA & UCLA, ME. A member Delta Tau Delta
His working life was at the So. CA Gas Co., Lockheed & Northrup retiring in 1993.
Frank served on the Measure Y board with the Pasadena Unified, was a founding member of the Pasadena Citizens Police Academy, served on the Linda Vista Neighborhood board, the Linda Vista Library board, & was the Chief Engineer of the Linda Vista Valley Railroad. He also devoted much of his time to the Red Shirt Indian project at St George's Church & loved his bridge on Fridays at the Pasadena Senior Center.
He was also immensely proud of his family, always keeping his cards close. Aviation & model railroading were his two hobbies, a self proclaimed "ferroequinologist". He boarded his final train December 21, 2013& is now free. Carry on Sir!
Survived by his wife of 61 years, Francie, children; Thomas R. Cassidy of Sierra Madre, Katie (Paul) Detlefs of Glenview IL, grandchildren Ashley & Ryan Cassidy, Courtney, Allison (Pete) Biasco & Scott Detlefs.
Services will be held February 1, 2014 at St George's Church, 808 Foothill Blvd, La Canada, CA at 1:00 PM.
