Anthony "Tony" Hodges, 70 of Pearland, TX, went to be with the Lord April 24, 2014 after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma. He was born on December 17, 1943 in Amarillo, Texas. He graduated from Tascosa High School in Amarillo, and then he attended Amarillo College and completed his Bachelor's degree at The University of Texas in Austin. Tony then decided to pursue a law degree, and he graduated with a J.D. from The University of Texas. He remained an avid fan of the Longhorns for the remainder of his life. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1968 and proudly served as a Captain in Vietnam in the JAG unit. He practiced law many years in the oil and gas industry, and he eventually established his own law firm later in life. Tony's most cherished moments were spent with the ones he loved. He and his late wife, Nancy, enjoyed traveling, country and western dancing and relaxing with their beloved dog Powder. His children and grandchildren always brought a smile to his face.

Tony is preceded in death by his parents, John R. Hodges, Jr. and Jeanne Hodges Day and his wife, Nancy Hodges. He is survived by his daughter, Mindy Jones and husband Jason of The Woodlands, TX; his son, Chris Hodges and wife Staci of Chicago, IL; his stepson, Gavin Williams of Houston, TX; his sister, Paige Bonilla and husband Bo of Frisco, TX; his brother, John R. Hodges III and wife Maureen of Amarillo, TX; his six grandchildren Avery, Brooke, Grace Ann, Riley, Zachary and Tyler.

The family would like to express their gratitude to all of his doctors, nurses and caregivers who provided amazing care during his lengthy struggle with cancer.

In lieu of flowers, you may send donations to MD Anderson Cancer Center in honor of Tony Hodges. A Celebration of Life was held on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 1:00pm at West University Baptist Church, 6218 Auden Street, Houston, Texas 77005.
