Barbara Field, 88, of Port Angeles passed away following a brief illness on August 5, 2014.
She was born in Duluth, Minnesota, to Herbert and Elsie (Hettmann) Schadewald on June 27, 1926.
She attended Duluth State Teachers College (now the University of Minnesota, Duluth).
On March 1, 1952, she married Arthur Field in Pasadena, California. The couple were together until his passing on May 22, 2005.
She and Arthur started their lives together, and Barbara manned the home as a gifted homemaker in both Pasadena and Port Angeles. She was particularly fond of music, gardening and baking.
Barbara was also a member of First United Methodist Church in Port Angeles and belonged to the United Methodist Women.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Field; and sisters Elsie Bagley Cone and Harriet Curtis.
She is survived by her nephews, Mark Bagley, Robert Curtis and Michael Curtis; and niece Patricia Bagley.
She was laid to rest on August 8, 2014, at Ocean View Cemetery in Port Angeles.
