The life of Jere Thomas Shultz of Sequim ended in a tragic work-related accident on September 26, 2013, in Port Townsend.
He was born on April 24, 1950, to John Henry and Doris Ilene Shultz in Bristol, Virginia.
After earning his GED, he found work as an electrician, carpenter, race car driver, firefighter and handyman.
Jere was the sort of man to go out of his way to help another out. He loved to make people happy and to see them smile.
He was a Rainbow Girls leader and Worshipful Master of the Masonic Lodge No. 213.
He is survived by his son, John Thomas Shultz of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany; daughter Holly Marie Adams of Sequim; and grandchildren Gwendolyn Elizabeth Shultz and Emily Marie Adams.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Doris; father John; and brother Timmy Shultz.
Jere brought us all so much joy that through our tears, we smile. We invite you to share our smiles, our warm memories and our love at a memorial service at the Sequim Masonic Lodge, 700 South Fifth Avenue, on Sunday, November 10, beginning at 11 a.m.
