Memories and Condolences
for Carlo Dorazio

Not sure what to say?

Carlo and I grew up together and lived just a few houses apart. Our families were close and spent a lot of time together. I remember him as a very special person. He was kind, lots of fun and a good friend. It was a pleasure to know him. I'm sure he has been missed immeasurably by his family and in his community.

Ken and I were so lucky to have Carl for a brother-in-law. When Ken had his heart attack, I was working in Georgia. I was so worried that Ken would be alone in ICU. Carl went to the hospital as soon as he heard. He told the nurses that he was Ken's brother so they'd let him in the ICU. Ken could hear his voice, but he couldn't see him. Ken always said it was very comforting to hear Carl's voice.

Family meant everything to Carl. I know my family will miss him.

A great man, a great teacher. Mr. D was the baseball coach that I remember most. He taught the game, and he taught life, both to a great degree. His service to the youth of Chambers Hill all those years will be fondly remembered. Thank you to a man who made me love the game......

Carl was one of the best friends I ever had, and was there whenever I needed him. We were buddies for 40 years, going to sporting events from little league to the pro's, especially the Penn State home and away games which we loved going to.
Carl was a wonderful family man, always caring about his children, who he did an excellent job of raising as a single parent. He was there whenever anyone needed him.
Carl promised me he would save me a seat next to him at all the sports games in heaven.

Farewell Gumba!
My very special friend

Going back to our days in Minersville, I will always remember "Scootch", as the affable, fun loving friend who never seemed to be effected by anything around him that was not positive. Understanding what happened to him later in life, His reward will be in heaven. God bless you Carl.
