Charles Brad Smith
At the age of 48, Brad passed away at his home in the early morning of October 15, 2013, having spent his last days surrounded by his large, loving family. Brad was an extremely strong-willed, stubborn, loving man, who loved his family as much as they loved him. He lived as a quadriplegic for the past 23 years after a diving accident. Brad was full of life and loved to laugh. He had many passions in life, NASCAR, University of Florida "Go Gators!" racing his Jato remote control cars, and enjoying his top of the line technological devices, all which helped kept him young at heart.
He was born on March 13, 1965, in Houston, Texas to Caron Quinn and the late William Russell Smith. He lived throughout the United States while his father was employed by NASA.
Brad was survived by his mother, Caron Quinn; son, Kristopher "Chad" Smith; sisters, Kim Davis, Cindy Tanton (Johnnie Tanton), and Nicole Quinn; nephews, Daniel Davis, Jacob and Brandon Tanton.
Services will be held at Faith Chapel North on Friday, October 18, 2013. Visitation from 3-4pm with a short funeral service at 4pm. Everyone is invited to the Celebration of Brad's life party immediately after the funeral service at the home of Caron Quinn, 5911 LaRosa St. Pensacola, FL 32526.
