Elizabeth V. Barber
Elisabeth V. Barber, of Pensacola, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 14, 2013 at West Florida Hospital, with her family at her side. "Lis" was born in Augsburg, Germany, and was raised and educated there as well. She had moved to the states in the 50's, and had been a resident of Pensacola since 1962.
"Lis" was a loving wife of 51 years to her husband Don, as well as a loving mother to her 3 children. She was a community activist and a member of TRIM, where she served as press reporter for many years and could always be found in attendance at the County Commission Meetings. She enjoyed taking road trips with her husband Don enjoying the sights and nature, was a talented artist, a master gardener who enjoyed working in her yard with her plants, loved all animals especially cats and was a wonderful housewife.
Surviving are her husband; Don Barber of Pensacola, two sons; Herb Caldwell & Elwood James Caldwell (Debbie Scullin), all of Pensacola, a daughter; Cyndi Caldwell (Charlie Clinton Finch, Jr. ) of Century.
Funeral Services will be private. Memorials in her name may be made to Wildlife Sanctuary of NWF, 105 North S Street, Pensacola, 32505.
