Hazel E. Nix

1937-2014

Hazel Nix, 77 of Pensacola, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2014. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and VFW. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and "Grandma Nix". She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners will never be the same.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to , 5401 Corporate Woods Drive, Pensacola, Florida 32504.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Vassie Emmons; husband, Lt. (Ret.) Jack Nix and her sister, Christine Duke.

She is survived by her son, Daryl Nix (Lori); grandchildren, Daniel Nix (Ryssa), Devon Nix, Travis Gibson and Tyler Gibson; sister, Margie Sasser (Millard) brothers, Leroy Emmons (Sheron) and John David Emmons (Betty).

Graveside service will be held at 10:15 a.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Barrancas National Cemetery with Pastor Millard Sasser officiating.
