Ralph R. Leitch
1928 - 2013
Ralph Leitch was a dedicated and a loving family man of great wisdom and sentimentality. He lived a life of example instilling in his children the values of honesty, personal responsibility, and commitment to others. Despite many health challenges his kindness and humor were always evident. He took great pride in his children and their accomplishments. Ralph was a lover of music and nature. His passion for golf spanned all of his adult years and is carried forward by his sons and their families. Friends and family would not doubt that he was the Red Sox' #1 fan. Ralph served in the Army Reserves and received honorable discharge as Sergeant of the 10th Infantry Company M in 1955.
The son of Arthur and Helen Leitch, Ralph called several places home, including the South Shore of Boston, West Chester, Pennsylvania, and Pensacola, Florida, but he carried his birthplace of Adams Massachusetts always in his heart and is pictured here on top of his beloved Mount Greylock.
Ralph was preceded in death by his brothers Arthur and Robert Leitch, and his wife Barbara. He is survived by his three sons , Paul, Steven, and Ralph Leitch, his daughter Nancy Wolfe, and families including grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. He loved and appreciated close relationships with other family members including his niece and her husband, John and Dawn Clasby. His family expresses their gratitude for the loving care he received at the Cardigan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Scituate, Massachusetts.
A memorial golf tournament and service are planned for the fall in the Berkshire Mountains. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation sent to Alzheimer's Family Services 1901 North Palafox Street Pensacola FL 32501.
