Robert "Bob" Weathersby, 76, of Pensacola reported to Heaven July 19, 2014.
He was born January 1, 1938 in Soperton, Ga. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sarah Thibodeau and Luther Weathersby.
Bob served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1954-1977 after joining at the age of 16 years. He served in many locations; including two tours in Vietnam. The USMC was his life and he lived by the motto, "Once a Marine, Always a Marine." Prior to his illness, he was active in many veteran's organizations and activities, to include the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans and the Marine Corps League. Bob was loving, generous, fun, tough, a true friend and a patriotic Christian. In his later years he enjoyed playing cards, working on cars and reading.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Lillie Ayers Weathersby; son, Steven Weathersby (Denise), of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Kelly Weathersby (Darla) of Rexburg, ID, Shannon Thompson (Judd) of Pocatello, ID, Andrew Kelleher (Jayme) of Pensacola, FL, Samantha Kelleher of Pensacola, FL; five great grandchildren; siblings, Carol Kellar of Poplarville, MS, Paul Thibodeau of Biloxi, MS, Annette Thibodeau of Biloxi, MS; sister-in-law, Neva Searles and dogs, Maggie Mae, Daisy Mae and Putt.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home from 10-11:00am Tuesday, July 22, 2014. The funeral service will begin at 11:00am with Pastor Doug Kimsal officiating. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery with full military honors.
