TELL CITY - Robert G. Dyer, 72, passed away Monday, July 1, 2013, at St. Mary's Medical Center.
He was born July 9, 1940, to Hazel and Frank Dyer Sr.
An army veteran, Bob retired from Willamette Industries and enjoyed traveling, fishing and playing cards. He was married March 20, 1985, to Pat Kuster. He was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ and American Legion Post 213.
Surviving is his wife of 28 years, Pat (Poehlein) Dyer of Tell City; his children, Kathy Ambrose of Cannelton, Robert Dyer Jr. of Tucson, Ariz., and Michael Dyer Sr. of Louisville, Ky.; stepchildren, Jennifer Adkins of Nashville, Tenn., Elaine Oberhausen of Newburgh and Brian Kuster of Bowling Green, Ky.; a sister, Mary Brownie of Oregon; five grandchildren, Brandon Shelton, and Chastity, Michael Jr., Kaileen and Bobby Dyer; stepgrandchildren Mina Oberhausen, and Whitney, Zachary and Chris Adkins and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents; a son, David Dyer and a brother, Frank Dyer Jr.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 6, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Pastor J.T. Hills will officiate.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be at Zoecher-Gillick Funeral Home from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 5, and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday.
