ALICE (nee Belew) of Waverly Heights, Gladwyne, PA died peacefully in her home on April 10, 2014 with her husband of 64 years at her side. Beloved wife of Richard G. Lonsdorf, MD. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas, and graduated from the University of Texas. She was Asst. Dean for International Students and Alumni at the U Penn Law School. Founding member and President of Friends of Independence National Historical Park, President of the Junior League of Philadelphia, Elected to the Distinguished Daughters of Pennsylvania, President of the Women's Committee of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. She is survived by her husband Richard; and sons George, David and Robert; grand-children Eric, Richard, Katherine, Paul; and great-grandchildren Siena and Jackson. She is preceded in death by her parents David O. Belew and Maizie Erskine Belew; sister Maizie Belew Johndroe; and brother David O. Belew, Jr, all of Fort Worth, TX. A Celebration of her life will be held at Waverly Heights Auditorium, 1400 Waverly Rd., Gladwyne, PA 19035 at 3 P.M. on Saturday, April 19.
