Now what I am commanding you todayis not too difficultfor you or beyond your reach. It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, "Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it? No, the word is very near you;it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it. If it were not for Doc, I would not have spent 5 yrs. studying scripture and helping the hopeless. I caught Gods ball and I passed it around to lost souls in need of salvation. Praise God.

Doc, We should have kept the ball on our end of the field for more minutes , so they wouldn't have out scored us in the 1979 State Championship.

Doc was a loyal and dependable friend. His cartoons and scrimshaw are treasured and a reminder of some very happy Abington memories.

Doc was a great teacher, mentor & friend to ALL at Abington! I remember him first at Abington Basketball games. . . My Dad was coaching, and he was the PT/trainer. Then he helped me re-hab my ankle when i tore ligaments. But most of all, I remember hanging out in the halls outside the gym talking wih him. And yes, I was lucky enough to get one of those great drawings in my yearbook! My guess is he's starting up a Lacrosse team in heaven! Truly one of the original "good guys"!! He will be GREATLY missed!

Celebrating a life well lived. We will cherish the memories forever. Doc made an indelible impression on me. He seemed larger than life back in High School. I will always remember singing Edelweiss (Doc's favorite song)on the bus as we turned onto Ghost Road coming home from swimming meets.

Joanne:
My deepest sympathy to you on the passing of Joe. My prayers go out to you. Joe and I spent many years together at Abington. He was a man of many talents. I learned many things that he helped me with. The students at Abington loved to have him sign their yearbook because he always drew a great cartoon for them. In my living room I have large painting (water color0 hanging ,
God bless.
