Notice Condolences

RONALD HARMON, 64, of Phila., PA, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013 in Moorestown, New Jersey after a long illness. Services will be Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013 in Nebraska. There will be a memorial service at First Presbyterian Church, Phila., PA at a later date. Memorials may be given to First Presbyterian Church, Phila., PA.
Ronald was born in Hastings, Nebraska, graduated from Hastings High School and subsequently Harvard College. He was a development officer for Harvard University, then for the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He later became a development officer for the Fox Chase Cancer Center, then the Philadelphia Orchestra, and completed his fund raising career as a consultant for Van Ness and Associates, all in Phila. Ronald was for many years a judge of the elections, an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia and an avid gardener.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth (Creigh), a son, Thomas of Chicago, a daughter, Eliza Savage (Patrick) of Bensalem, PA, three grand-children (Logan, Falyn and Kennedy Savage), his mother, Ruth Pfeil and his sister, Jane Maehr (Martin), both of Ann Arbor, Michigan.
