Arthur Frederick Kohn

Virginia Beach - 86, passed away March 8, 2014. Art was a loving husband and father, who served his country and his communities and lived a long full life. He will be missed by many. Born in Long Island, New York, he served our country for over 25 years in the U.S. Navy, retiring honorably as a Lieutenant Commander. He was a veteran of 3 wars, World War II, The Korean War and Vietnam War. He later became a Deputy with the Chesapeake Sheriff's Department and retired from there with several years of service. Mr. Kohn was a Master Mason and was active in many associations including the Chesapeake Shrine Club, The Fraternal order of Police, and the Ruritan Club. He was also a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie Madeline Kohn, daughter; Micheline Barto and son Bernard Kohn and brother Melvin Kohn.

Art is survived by his wife Betty Anne Kohn, son; Arthur F Kohn Jr, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 13 at 12PM at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, Virginia Beach, VA. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
