Virginia Beach - 92 - On April 3rd 2013, Bud was reunited with "Sue" his devoted wife of 60 years, and daughter Candace in their prepared Heavenly home.
Originally from Massachusetts, Bud called many places home during his 45 year Military career. He served His Country in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and The Cold War. Bud Credits much of his success in career and life to Sue, the perfect mate and Mother. With God strengthening their union, an unbroken bond was formed. His Family was his life. Together they raised 5 daughters, and he is survived by; Wendy, Penny, Linda & Crystal. Their Love also produced 8 Grandchildren and 7 Great- grandchildren.
Bud was loving, generous, kind, and forgiving. He also had a remarkable memory, that inspired him to write poetry and songs for Sue. He could do or fix almost anything, even achieving a U.S. Patten for an invention late in life. Bud, an exercise fanatic jumped 2000 times on his trampoline just days ago. But he would most want to be remembered for the message he displayed on his car ... "Kiss your wife everyday and tell her you Love her, You never know how long you will have her"
Viewing is Saturday April 6 from 6-8 p.m. and a memorial service with Military Honors is Sunday April 7 at 4 p.m. at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 2002 Lakin Rd. Va. Beach, Va. 23454. Online condolences may be made to the family at hdoliver.com.
