Virginia Beach - George Franklin Pearman, 79, of the 4300 block of Temple Court, went to be with the Lord on April 28, 2013. A native of Greensboro, NC, he was the son of the late Frank Edmond and Clora Gregory Pearman. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Eleanor Jean Pearman. A Navy veteran with more than 20 years of service, he also retired as a manager from Naval Federal Credit Union with 20 years of service. He was a member, deacon, usher and class president of the Bill Baker Sunday School Class of Kempsville Baptist Church.
Surviving are his loving wife, Geri Pearman, her son, Casey and her grandson, Brendon; three sons, Greg Pearman and his wife, Patty; Jeff Pearman and his wife, Andrea; and Mark Pearman; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Stella Everage and LeeAnn Gant.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in Kempsville Baptist Church with Dr. Kelly Burris and Pastor Randy Pearman officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, Chesapeake on Wednesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The family has requested memorial contributions be made to Mission HimPossible, Kempsville Baptist Church, 5204 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, Va 23462.
