Jack R. Blair

Chesapeake - Jack R. Blair, 87, passed away on Aug. 1, 2014. God said, "Jack it's time to come home, you need rest, come walk with me".

He leaves his loving family: Alice his wife of 66 years; his children, Richard, Vicki, Jeff, David and Nancy; five grandchildren and a great grandchild.

Jack was retired from the U. S. Army. He served in World War II in Japan, Korean War and at the American Embassy in the Philippines. He also retired from the City of Chesapeake and Landmark Communications.

Jack loved to be outside. His hobby was his horses, caring for his yard, flowers and he loved traveling and his little dog, Bennie. He was a member Royal Arch Masonic Lodge Chapter #29, Sylvania Pyramid Lodge #287 and Order of Eastern Star.

The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com
