Obituary Condolences

Ledesma B. Edwards

Virginia Beach - A Hero and a Fighter ........ Ledesma B. Edwards, 58, passed away in her home after a valiant fight against cancer. Born in Cebu City, Philippines, she was the daughter of the late Amador and Delores Abayon, and brother Ramon.

Ledesma, known as "Leding and Lee" to many, was a devoted wife, a loyal friend, a selfless and protective Mom, and a proud and amazing MeMa. One thing she has always taught her family is that love exists beyond anything imaginable. She embraced her family with the true dimensions of love and courage and lived life with an unwavering faith in God. She was an inspiration to many who have fought this battle and those who have witnessed it.

She was an active member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church and partook in many devotional activities. Left to cherish Ledesma's memory are her husband, Louis W. Edwards Jr; two daughters, Michelle L. Edwards, Natasha L. Morgan and husband Timothy; son, Anthony L. Edwards; grandchildren, Alexis L. Morgan, Kylie M. Morgan and Ethyn R. Edwards, all of Virginia Beach and three sisters, Linda Winslow of New York, Juditha Cuarez of Virginia Beach and Dalia Dyer of Alabama.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church by Rev. Fr. Cristiano Brito, O.S.B. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 6 to 9 p.m. with a Wake service at 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to National Breast Cancer Foundation, 2600 Network Blvd., Suite 300, Frisco, TX 75034.
