Raymond L. Oliver Sr.

Chesapeake - Raymond L. Oliver, Sr. 63 was called home to be with the Lord on November 22, 2013. Raymond grew up in the Huntersville section of Norfolk and is known by many as "Bust Head". He was born July 14, 1950 to the late James and Maggie Oliver, Sr. and is predeceased by two brothers and three grandchildren. Raymond was an Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam War. He retired from the City of Norfolk after 30 years of service. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 39 years, Lavinia T. Oliver, one daughter Jette McFadden, (Darryl), two sons Raymond Oliver Jr. and Jermaine Oliver (Delores), eleven grandchildren, a brother, four sisters, and a host of other family and friends. The family will receive friends at Metropolitan Funeral Service Granby Chapel on Friday November 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. The Homegoing Celebration will be held on Saturday November 30, at 12 noon St Mark United Church of Christ Norfolk, VA.
