Roseann Marie Easterbrooks

Chesapeake - On April 24th, 2013, Roseann Marie Easterbrooks (DeSimone), 53, born 1959, in Vineland, NJ entered the gates of heaven after a courageous 12 year battle with breast cancer. She leaves behind her loving husband, CDR James Paul Easterbrooks, USN (Ret), devoted children Elizabeth Ann and Paul Alan Easterbrooks, and adored dogs Magnum and Molly of Chesapeake, VA. In addition, she is survived by her dear mother Ann DeSimone and her cherished brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Carrie DeSimone, of New Jersey, as well as numerous beloved relatives and friends across the country. She was predeceased by her father Ernest DeSimone.
A 1982 mechanical engineering graduate of West Virginia University, Roseann most recently worked as an engineering manager for Newport News Shipbuilding. She previously worked for the US Navy in Philadelphia and San Diego. Recently, Roseann became a certified dog trainer and carting instructor, and greatly enjoyed the community of dog lovers, especially owners of Great Pyrenees. A joyful owner of a spectacular beach house, Coral-Reef-Treat, she was the Hostess with the Mostest, as she created memories there with countless loved ones. An exceptional and generous cook, she nourished the bodies as well as the souls of all those she treated with her traditional Italian dishes. She was an active member of Green Acres Presbyterian Church, and a member of her Jolliff Woods Ladies' Night Group.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 4th at 11:00 a.m. at Green Acres Presbyterian Church. A private Interment will occur at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, VA on Monday, May 6th.
In addition, a celebration of Roseann's life will be held in New Jersey on Sunday, May 19th, at Italyani - 1643 Rt. 38 in Lumberton, NJ from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
