Virginia Beach - SUZANNE MUSETTE WEBER
Suzanne Weber, 46, formerly of Virginia Beach, died peacefully in her sleep in Tempe, AZ on Jan. 7, 2013 after a 6 year battle with cancer. She was born on Nov. 24, 1966 in Raleigh, NC. She grew up in Virginia Beach and attended Windsor Oaks and King's Grant Elementary, Lynnhaven Jr. (now Middle) and graduated from First Colonial High School. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Columbia University, New York with a Bachelor of Arts in English and later from Arizona State University Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She did graduate work in neuroscience at the University of Connecticut, prior to contracting cancer in 2007. Until recently she was employed by Arizona State University as a neuroscience researcher and Lab Manager.
She is survived by her parents, William (Bill) and Musette Weber, a brother, William (Bill) Weber all of Virginia Beach, an aunt, Ann Weber Whitlatch and husband Robert of Mystic, CT and cousins, Hilary Whitlatch of Providence, RI and Morgan Whitlatch and husband Jon Widrick of Silver Spring, MD. She was initially survived by her grandmother, Ruth Johnson Weber of Mystic, CT, who has since passed away. Other survivors include close friend of 30 years, Kristi Zeller and partner Mark Muraoka and their son Avery, and lifelong friends, Michael Johnstone and daughter, Michelle, and Mark Johnstone, wife Cheryl, and children, Ashley, Serena, and Nathan.
A memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 2, at King's Grant Presbyterian Church, 745 Little Neck Rd., Virginia Beach. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the
