Ann Louise MacGibbon Bailey, 83, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Feb.18, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Charles D. Bailey; parents, Dr. Everett Ellsworth and Lucinda MacGibbon; brothers, John MacGibbon Sr. (Evelyn) and Dr. George MacGibbon (Nancy); brother-in-law, William Conroy.
She is survived by four children and nine grandchildren, MaryEllen Benninger (Tom), Will and Claire; Peter Bailey (Leah), Charlie and Elise; Kathy Roberts (John), Jack, Carolyn and Morgan; Carolyn Bailey (Panos Lambrianides), Luke and Anna; a sister, Jean Conroy; a brother, Dr. James Duncan MacGibbon (Jan); and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Ann graduated from West High School in 1948 and the University of Minnesota in 1952. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and was an elementary school teacher. Ann married Chuck Bailey in 1953 and took great joy in raising her family. Ann enjoyed music, opera, golf, bridge, animals, summers at the lake cabin in Nisswa and annual trips to Sanibel Island, Fla. She was an active member of St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church in Wayzata.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at the Church of St. Bartholomew, 630 Wayzata Boulevard East in Wayzata. Private interment.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37th Ave. N., Plymouth.
