He joined the Marine Corps on July 17, 1945, and was honorably discharged as a corporal on July 16, 1949. During this time, he married the love of his life, Jerice Anne Richardson on June 15, 1952. Charlie was a hard-working young man, leading him to become president of Bass Shoe Co. in 1975, bringing the company great success. He was also a man of great passion, enjoying time at his Texas ranch where he raised the world champion quarter horse, Quincy Feature. He and his wife raised three beautiful children together at their home in Maine, where he also became a Master Mason at the Wilton Lodge No. 156 F. & A.M.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Jerie; children, David Morgan, Cherie (Chuck) Grimm and Rick (Blake) Morgan; grandchildren, Brooke Pinkham, Charlie Morgan, Melissa Samuels, Catherine Lauper, Taylor Morgan, Christopher Grimm, Thomas Morgan and Laura Morgan; and great-grandchildren, Olivia and Hudson Samuels.
