Don Kyllo (aka Kyllo) was born on the family farm in Goodhue County on Feb. 4, 1939. Don passed away Friday, Dec. 20, 2013.

He graduated from Wanamingo High School in 1957. "Go Bulldogs!" Served in the Air Force, stationed in Germany 1958-1962.
Don is survived by loving wife, Carmen of 44 years; and sons, Kory (Stephanie) of Denver, Colo., and Stephen (Erin) of Apple Valley; proud grandfather of Michael, Ethan and Callen; brothers, Jerome (Valerie) and Maurice (Doris); and sister, Judy Blacksten.
Don was employed by IBM from 1964 until his retirement in 1994. He then was hired to perform contract/supplemental work for IBM from 1995-2013.
He was a lifetime member of the Elks Club, BPOE 1091 in Rochester. Some of Don's greatest joys in life were spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and his many friends. He loved boating, golfing, Brandy Manhattans, flower gardening, traveling, the "Gr-Eight Gourmet Club," and cruising the back roads in his '77 Porsche 911, which he won with a hole-in-one. From 1999-2000, Carmen and Don took their boat, Sojourn on a trip of a lifetime known as "The Great Loop." His legacy will live on through his dimples.
Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 27, from noon to 12:30 p.m., with memorial service following at the Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel. fortsnellingmcf.org.
