DuWane Clinton Kramer, of Rochester, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014.

DuWane was born Nov. 11, 1935, to Weldon "Ollie" and Carrie (Dutton) Kramer in Mantorville. He grew up and attended school in Mantorville and then in Dodge Center, where he graduated high school in 1953 and was active in football, basketball and track. After high school, DuWane moved to Rochester and worked many years at the Post-Bulletin and later as a manager at Hardee's Restaurant.
DuWane was an active member of the Eagles and Elks Clubs in Rochester. He enjoyed all types of dancing, including ballroom and polka, fishing "up north," playing cards and "donating" his money to the casinos.
DuWane is survived by his two older sisters, LaVoy Shaffer of Faribault and LaVon Tully of Mantorville; three daughters, Penny Lawrence of Rochester, Pamela Bashaw (Peter) of Stoddard, Wis., and Debra Kramer (Rodney Lawman) of Rochester; three sons, Randy Kramer (Lori) of St. Charles, Terry Kramer (Janice) of Rochester and Daniel Kramer of Rochester; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
DuWane was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law, Gaylord (Peter) Shaffer, brother-in-law, John (Jack) Tully and grandson, Randy (R.D.) Kramer Jr.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 4, at 11 a.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church in Rochester, with Pastor Norman Wahl officiating.
Visitation will also be held at Bethel Lutheran Church on Thursday, April 3, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and one hour prior to the service.
