Roger Krause, 73, of Pine Island, died as a result of a long battle with pancreatic cancer on Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at his home surrounded by family.

The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1, at United Redeemer Church in Zumbrota, with Pastor Tom Isaacson officiating.
Roger was born Oct. 5, 1940, in Pine Island, to Edward and Adeline Krause (Bringgold). Roger grew up and attended Pine Island High School. Roger married Judy Jacobson on Oct. 5, 1963, at Zumbrota. Roger managed the Greenway Co-op with his brother, Richard for 18 years, and then owned Krause's Tire Services.
Roger was a member of the American Legion, Pine Island Fire Department and served as fire chief. Roger was a member of the United States military and spent time in Germany. Roger enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting and spending time with friends and family. Through these activities, he touched the lives and hearts of so many. His family came first especially with the additions of grandchildren, Nora and Russel.
Roger is survived by his wife, Judy; and his children, Kimberly (Larry) Pahl and Steven (Clara) Krause, all of Pine Island; and two grandchildren, Nora Pahl and Russel Krause; sisters, Betty Peterson (Don) of Pine Island and Virginia Markham (Buzz) of Mantorville; and many nieces and nephews.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Russell, Richard and Edward and sister, Sharon (Klingsporn).
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
