Stiles, Ann Votava
Ann Votava Stiles, age 53, passed away unexpectedly on May 8, 2013 in Sedro-Woolley, Washington. She was born on May12, 1959 in Neenah, Wisconsin, the daughter of James and Kathryn Votava.
Ann attended Neenah High School for two years becoming a state gymnastics champion. She transferred to Darien, CT with her family, where she competed for DHS and then the University of New Hampshire. She transferred to the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, where she graduated with a degree in Health Care Administration in 1982.
She began her Career in Wisconsin and Utah. At the time of her death she was the Executive Director for Harbor Tower Village, Whidby Island, WA. and Country Meadow Village in Sedro-Woolley, WA. Ann deemed it a privilege to serve the residents of the facilities she managed.
Ann's interests first and foremost were her children Patrick and Mary. She was a friend to every child that entered her life especially her children's friends. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Sedro-Woolley Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce and was on the Board of Trustees of Josephine Sunset House. She sponsored a girl in Thailand for many years and last year accompanied the Esperanza Mission to Mexico to build homes.
Ann is survived by her wonderful husband Brian Stiles whom she married Nov. 11, 2011 at the family home in Sedro-Woolley, WA., her son Patrick James and daughter Mary Kathryn, parents James and Kathryn, brother Scott [Connie] Votava, Marshall, MI. and sister Amy[David Hemphill] Votava, Minneapolis, seven nieces and nephews, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her previous husband Timothy Kelley on July 31, 2003 and her maternal and paternal grandparents. Ann's funeral services were held May 16, 2013 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sedro-Woolley, WA.
