Duane K. Haviland

Duane K. Haviland, age 77, of Antigo, Wisconsin and The Villages, Florida, passed away August 7, 2014, after a brief battle with cancer.

After high school, Duane served four years in the U.S. Air Force and married Janet (Lenzner). They were married 52 years and raised three children in Appleton and Shawano before retiring to Florida.

He co-owned Haviland Hearing Aids with his older brother Dick, proudly serving clients for over 40 years.

Duane is survived by his beloved wife Jan; one daughter Leah (Jeff) Lutz; two sons: Dewey (Tracy) Haviland and David (Stacy) Haviland. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren: Adam, Rylee, Griffin, and Jadyn Lutz, as well as Kendall and Dane Haviland.

Duane is further survived by his brother Keith; sisters-in-law: Ruth and Toni and brother-in-law Del Schmeichel. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruby; and siblings: Dick, Gary, Moonyean, Diane, Colin, Kathy, David, and George.

The committal service with military honors will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, September 5, 2014 at Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, N2665 Highway QQ in King.
